THE BRAINLESS CORPSE IN VELVET
AGONY IN THE GARDEN
(School Planner Poem)
SUNDAY
She’s a queen of the green
lush artistic descriptions that
make us study the art.
MONDAY
Winter torturer, congealed
blood and ice with a brown
leaf fossilized inside
I spring, boing boing, but she
brings may flowers when
she sees me, I
TUESDAY
Don't know what to say to her
Grazer with an exposed brain ready to
be sucked, disgust across her faces
she doesn’t mean it though, when
bugs die in November we’ll be
WEDNESDAY
chill again. I hope at least
some of her is warmer next year,
even if she can’t see me
through the green leaves.
THURSDAY
A string holds us together
Acrobatics on this line
Only I can walk on
Family matters
FRIDAY
And when I get home
I'll take a shower in dreams
Without regard for the water bill
SATURDAY
Because unlike my work
It doesn't have to make sense
