THE BRAINLESS CORPSE IN VELVET
THE CAR CRASH POEM
is to give always to take from another?
at the cost of the pine needles' discomfort?
i give the snow messy red tracks
for the low low price of my life
my ability to breathe, sold to the
trashman, no one deserves it more
im the deadliest animal deserving
and the liveliest animal bleeding
fragility beats in my chest evermore slowly
and the scythe vacuums me little by little
myriad pine needles are the last thing im
not numb to, drunk off the pain
i feel more alive than ever before
but it catches up.
my life passes me by at 150 mph
i close these eyes to try to go back
to try to see the visions just once more
but the only thing waiting for me now
is my endless dream
